American Benevolent Society, I.A.P.

What they do

ABS helps Americans and others in Mexico City and Cuernavaca with medical, psychological, financial, educational and legal assistance, as well as social outlets to who do not have any other recourse to these services.

In addition, ABS manages Caza Libros, a used bookstore for books in English and other languages available to its members and the public. Books are donated to the store and sold at a discounted price. Caza Libros is completely staffed by volunteers and all proceeds from the sales support the social services provided by ABS.

ABS relies heavily on proceeds from the American Cemetery, grants, donations and inheritances to support its activities.
